Raveon Technologies's a stand-alone Automatic Vehicle Location (AVL) system for law-enforcement, police, fire, and other public safety use. The RavTrack system offers update rates and latency orders-of magnitude, with no recurring costs. It also allows Real-Time in-vehicle location display on PCs and standard Navigation computers. First-responders can easily see where others are located and when they will arrive. Because the RavTrack system does not use third-party radio networks, command-and control can rely on RavTrack to work in the worst of disasters, and in remote areas where coverage is uncertain. The RavTrack AVL system enables chiefs, dispatchers and supervisors to track vehicles over an area of tens to hundreds of square miles. It does not use GPRS or any other public wireless network, so it works everywhere and is reliable even when public networks fail. RavTrack also has the ability to allow all M7 GPS transponders to not only transmit their position, but also receive position and status from other units. This allows all M7 Transponders to be able to run RavTrack PC and see the location of all other M7s in the system.
